Baklava Delivery UK
How Your Order Reaches You Fresh
We deliver fresh baklava across the UK using tracked Royal Mail and DPD services, with every order made fresh after you buy it rather than sitting boxed up on a shelf. Baklava doesn’t travel well if it’s been hanging around for days before it’s even dispatched so how it’s packed and how quickly it reaches you matters just as much as how well it was baked. Here’s how our UK baklava delivery works, from dispatch and tracking through to delivery charges and gift requests.
How We Package Your Baklava for Delivery
We don’t keep finished boxes sitting on a shelf waiting for someone to order them. Everything gets made once your order comes in. That’s the whole point, really. It means what turns up at your door is close to how it tasted the day it came out of the oven, not something that’s been sitting around for a week or two before it even gets dispatched.
Once a box is ready someone packs it and seals it by hand. We don’t tip everything loose into a container the way a lot of bulk hamper companies do. Pieces are wrapped individually where it makes sense to, which stops them sticking together and keeps the box from turning into a mess if it gets jostled on the way to you. And none of it is ever frozen. What you get is fresh baklava, not something that’s been thawed out to look fresh.

Personalised Packaging and Gift Requests
Plenty of what we send out is bought as a gift rather than a treat for the person ordering it. Eid, Ramadan, weddings, work anniversaries, thanking a client or a colleague, that sort of thing comes up a lot. We don’t have a standard logo printing or branding service but we’re happy to talk through personal touches when someone asks. That can mean:
- Packaging that suits whatever occasion you’re gifting for.
- A handwritten note tucked in with the order.
- A different mix of items than what’s in our usual boxes.
- Delivery timed to land on or before a specific date, like an event or anniversary.
None of this happens automatically when you check out. You’ll need to contact us first so we understand what you’re after and can tell you honestly whether it’s something we can pull off. Give us a few days notice rather than asking the day before, especially around Eid or over the festive months when we’re busier than usual and things take a bit longer.
UK Delivery Areas, Days and Couriers
Right now we only deliver within the UK. There’s no international shipping option at the moment. Orders go out Monday through Friday and we can’t dispatch or deliver on weekends or bank holidays. So if you place an order on a Friday evening or over the weekend, it won’t actually move until the following Monday. Keep that in mind if you’re timing something around a birthday or an event.
The courier we use depends on how heavy your order is. Anything under 2kg goes with Royal Mail’s 48 hour tracked service. Anything heavier than that goes with DPD instead, since it copes better with bigger or bulkier boxes. Either way, once your order leaves us you’ll get a tracking number so you’re not left wondering where it’s got to.
Delivery Charges and Free Delivery Threshold
Pricing here is based on how much you spend, not on weight or how far it’s travelling.
Orders over £50 (excluding VAT) get free delivery.
Orders under £50 have a flat delivery charge of £4.49, including VAT.
That’s it, there’s no extra fee for larger or business orders on top of this. The same £50 threshold applies no matter how many boxes you’re buying.

Tracking Your Baklava Order
Once your order has left us, you’ll get a tracking link, either from Royal Mail or DPD depending on which one handled it. If it’s running late and you haven’t had any tracking details or the tracking hasn’t moved in a while, just email info@thebaklavabox.co.uk or call 07542 377133 and we’ll chase it up for you.

Delayed, Damaged or Missing Deliveries
Sometimes things don’t go to plan. A courier misses a slot, a parcel gets held up somewhere or it arrives in worse shape than it should have. If that happens to you, don’t sit on it. Get in touch as soon as you notice something’s wrong. We’ll find out what happened with the courier and work out the best way to fix it, whether that means chasing the delivery, sending a replacement or something else that fits what went wrong. We’d much rather hear about a problem and sort it properly than leave someone stuck dealing with it alone.
Bulk Orders and Multiple Address Delivery
If you’re placing a bulk order, say a corporate gift, something for the whole office or just a bigger personal order, it helps a lot to reach out before you actually place it rather than after. That way we can talk through realistic quantities and sizes for however many people you’re buying for, agree on packaging that fits the order and pick a dispatch date that actually lines up with when you need it, instead of hoping the usual shipping times happen to work out.
Our normal setup sends one order to one UK address. If you need it split across a few addresses or offices, say you’re gifting to several branches or sending separate boxes to people working remotely, let us know beforehand and we’ll work out the best way to handle that rather than trying to squeeze it through a checkout built for one address.
Need Help With a Delivery?
Get in touch and we’ll help however we can, whether that’s tracking down an order, timing a delivery around a certain date or figuring out what size boxes make sense for a gift.

Frequently Asked Question
With Royal Mail’s 48 hour tracked service, you should get your order within two working days of it being dispatched. DPD works to roughly the same timeframe for heavier orders. Since we only dispatch Monday to Friday, an order placed late in the week might not actually leave us until the Monday after so keep that in mind when you’re working out timing.
Not through the checkout itself, no, we can’t promise an exact date that way. If you need something to land on a certain day, a birthday, an event, whatever it might be, get in touch with us beforehand and we’ll do what we can to time things so it arrives when you need it.
No. Deliveries only go out Monday to Friday. If you want something to arrive before a weekend event, order early enough that both dispatch and delivery can happen during the working week.
Yes. Both couriers we use, Royal Mail’s 48 hour tracked service and DPD, give you tracking once your order has been sent off.
Not right now. We only deliver within the UK at the moment
There’s no option for this at checkout yet so just ask us directly. Get in touch before you order and tell us what you’re picturing, a handwritten note, particular packaging, anything tied to the occasion and we’ll let you know what we can put together.
