Baklava Wedding Favours, Baked Fresh in the UK

Across the Mediterranean and the Middle East, syrup-soaked pastry has turned up at wedding celebrations for generations, handed round at the end of the night or sent home with guests the next morning. We bake ours here in the UK rather than importing it, and we’ve supplied it for weddings before, most often as something guests take home rather than leave behind on the table.

Why Baklava Works So Well as a Wedding Favour

Baklava has turned up at weddings and celebrations across the Mediterranean and Middle East for generations, which gives it a sense of occasion a bag of sugared almonds doesn’t really carry. Nothing sits pre-made on a shelf waiting for an order, each batch goes together close to your delivery date, which is part of why it still reads as a proper gift even at full guest-list quantities, the kind of detail behind genuinely luxury wedding favours.

Baklava Box

Wedding Favour Boxes and Baklava Selections

Our Bitesize Baklava Box is the one most couples land on for wedding favour boxes. Each 250g box holds a mixed selection of ten different bitesize baklava varieties, small enough to be eaten in one bite, and you can choose a black or white box to suit your colour scheme.

Beyond favours, baklava works well on a wedding dessert table alongside our Turkish delight, maamoul and petit four, so guests can build their own plate of Mediterranean wedding desserts rather than just taking a box home.

Sizing Your Order to Your Guest List

Favours are usually one box per guest, or one per couple or family if you’re gifting by table rather than by seat. There’s no set minimum on our website, so once your numbers are close to final, send them over and we can tell you whether the quantity and timeline you have in mind is realistic. This is the kind of thing that matters more for ordering bulk baklava for weddings than for a one-off gift. Printed personalisation, including names, dates, and ribbon, isn’t something we offer as an exclusive service, but it can be arranged. If you want the boxes to match your colours with custom printing, we can try to personalise your order on request.

Timing It Around Your Big Day

Every box is baked to order rather than pulled from a stockroom, which is good for freshness but means a wedding needs a bit more planning than a birthday gift does. Deliveries only go out Monday to Friday, so if the wedding falls on a Saturday, the boxes need to land with you or your venue by Friday, not on the day itself. Delivery is free on orders over £50 excluding VAT, with a £4.49 charge including VAT below that.

Worth knowing before you lock in a date: once an order has gone into production, it can’t be cancelled or refunded, because fresh baklava doesn’t hold the way a non-perishable favour would. If your date moves, tell us as early as you can so there’s a better chance of shifting the delivery slot with you rather than after the fact.

Premium Baklava Box

Frequently Asked Question

Yes. The Bitesize Baklava Box is built for this, individual portions in a box small enough to hand to each guest. Larger boxes work if you’d rather gift by table or household instead of by seat.

As soon as your date and numbers are settled. Nothing is held as stock, it’s baked to order, so weddings, which usually need more than a standard order, benefit from an early enquiry rather than a last-minute one.

Not as standard, but names or a wedding date or any other detail can be added on request for bulk orders. Contact our team if you have any requests for packaging personalisation.

Up to three months unopened if kept in a cool, dry place. Once a box is opened, we’d suggest eating it within two to three weeks, so it holds up fine for guests taking it home after the day.

Once an order has gone into production it can’t be refunded or cancelled, since baklava is a fresh, perishable product rather than something that can sit in a warehouse. If your date shifts, get in touch as early as possible so we can try to move the delivery date before that point.
