Delivery Terms & Failed Attempts

  • Customer Responsibility. You are responsible for providing an accurate and complete delivery address and ensuring someone is available to receive the order. Our couriers (Royal Mail or DPD) will attempt delivery to the address provided.
  • Failed Delivery Attempts. If a delivery fails because the address provided was incorrect, the premises were inaccessible, or the recipient was unavailable to accept the parcel, The Baklava Box cannot be held liable for the resulting deterioration of the product.
  • Perishable Nature. Because our baklava is a fresh, perishable food item, it cannot be returned to the depot for redelivery multiple times without compromising quality. If the courier is unable to deliver after a reasonable attempt, the goods may be disposed of for health and safety reasons, and you will not be entitled to a refund or replacement.
  • Safe Place/Neighbour Instructions. If you provide instructions to leave the parcel in a “Safe Place” or with a neighbour, risk passes to you the moment the courier follows these instructions. We are not responsible for any loss or damage that occurs after this point.
  • Courier Delays. While we aim to deliver within our stated timeframes, we are not liable for delays caused by the courier that are beyond our reasonable control (e.g., extreme weather or traffic strikes). If your order is significantly delayed, please contact info@thebaklavabox.co.uk.

Refund & Returns Policy

  • Perishable Goods Policy. Due to the perishable nature of our baklava, we do not accept returns or offer refunds if you change your mind or if you have ordered the wrong product. This is in accordance with UK distance selling exemptions for goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.
  • Damaged or Faulty Items. We take great pride in our quality. If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or is not what you ordered, please contact us at info@thebaklavabox.co.uk within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Required Evidence. To process a claim for damaged goods, please provide your order number and clear photographic evidence of both the packaging and the product.
  • Resolution. If a fault is verified, we will offer a replacement or a full refund to your original payment method.
  • Cancellations. Orders for perishable items cannot be cancelled once they have been prepared for dispatch.
